The villa has the benefit of central heating (oil fired!) and air conditioning to the lounge & 3 upstairs rooms, but because of the wooden verandah which overhangs the ground floor terraces, the interior of the downstairs remains (relatively) cool even in the high summer.

There is a wide marble staircase leading to the second floor –to the right, above the entrance porch, is a “snug” used as a reading/coffee room with decorative ceiling & woodwork.Turning right there is a bathroom with vanity unit occupying one wall, a toilet & large shower cubicle.

Opposite this (across the hallway) is a double bedroom, double bed & bedside cabinets + huge built in wardrobes with hanging space, drawers, and storage cupboards above.

Next is another large bedroom, this with 2 single beds & more wardrobe & drawer storage. Adjacent is a marvellous storage facility, mainly used as a linen cupboard – which has yet more hanging, shelf & drawer space. Past these rooms is one used as a study, (could be a bedroom or whatever one chose), then through an archway to a hallway with 2 more double bedrooms leading off – both these are furnished with beds, bedside units, wardrobes. Each has its own balcony & each has a small en-suite toilet, shower & basin unit.

There is an external door & another stairway from the side of the house, leading to these 2 rooms which could easily be partitioned off into separate guest accommodation, if wanted.

THIRD FLOOR

Reverting to the front of the house, the marble staircase leads to the top floor which is light & airy, a beautiful sitting area in the winter weather gloom. It has an ornately decorative wooden ceiling & some furniture.

EXTERNAL

The garden surrounds the house on all 4 sides & consists of both flowers (including a number of roses) and trees – mostly citrus fruit but also 4 plums, a fig, an avocado & 2 pomegranate.The citrus includes 2 grapefruit, 3 lemon, several orange, mandarin & turunc.Two tall palms give an imposing entrance to the main front door. There is an artesian well and space for a swimming pool if one desires. It has been designed & planted for easy maintenance.
